Volkswagen has showcased the new Virtus GT Plus Sport concept alongside the new Taigun GT Plus Sport. Like the Taigun, the new Virtus also gets a blacked-out treatment with red highlights, however, the company is calling this a concept at the moment, which will go into production later this year.

One-off Volkswagen Virtus convertible makes debut in Brazil
Volkswagen introduced the Virtus in 2022, a product developed and built in India for the world. Underpinned by the heavily localised MQB A0 IN architecture, Virtus has found its way to other international markets like Brazil. The Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun were updated earlier this year with new variants and colours, while the automaker also introduced the Sound Edition bringing special graphics and other updates to the sedan and SUV. VW is yet to announce its new product for India with a subcompact SUV said to be in the works while the Volkswagen ID.5 electric SUV is expected to arrive as the brand's new flagship in 2024.

The new shade on the Taigun SUV and Virtus sedan come with the shiny dark black exterior colour theme. There are no other changes to the models. The black paint gets contrasting chrome elements on the door handles, and front and rear bumpers. Volkswagen has not revealed anything about the interior of the special edition SUV and sedan.

Volkswagen has launched the Virtus and Taigun Sound Edition just a few weeks after launching the Taigun Trail Edition. Prices for the Virtus Sound Edition start at Rs 15.52 lakh and that of the Taigun starts at Rs 16.33 lakh. Both models do not receive any mechanical updates and are focused purely on musical experience, like the Nissan Magnite Geza edition.
